most wise-guys i know say if one can increase his bankroll 30 percent, that is a GREAT year. i agree. if i start with $5000, and am up $1500 (regardless of winning percentage) then i can tatoo a "W" on my forehead.
but next question: if up that 30 percent, should we quit? pat ourselves on back, and wait until next year?
i know some who shout an emphatic YES! me? im inclined to cut back the bets (far different philosophy from years past, when i would go balls to wall to keep high percentage going and increasing wagers. it took my first crappy year two seasons ago to show me that was NOT the way to go.) and play safe, keep in action, but being certain of locking up a winning season.
any thoughts?
